Submissions

We now warmly invite proposals for working groups, panels and individual presentations. We welcome submissions which engage directly with the conference theme but also those that reach beyond it and focus on topical issues within QLR more broadly.

The contributions may discuss for example following topics:

  • Innovative QLR methods (e g. participatory approaches, visual methods, 'walk-along' and 'drive-along' methods, application of new materialist approaches, digital analysis methods).

  • Dynamics of research relationships
  • Co-creative methods and collaborative ways of knowing
  • Sustaining participants' engagement in longitudinal research

  • Cross-national comparative research with qualitative longitudinal data

  • Conceptualisations of time and temporality, change and continuum
  • Places, spaces and geographies in longitudinal research
  • Archival, management and sharing of data
  • Disciplinary histories of qualitative longitudinal research
  • The value of qualitative longitudinal research beyond academia
  • Empirical examples from qualitative longitudinal studies across disciplines

Oral presentation

Panel

Workshop

Oral presentations: You can send an individual proposal covering different topics of longitudinal research. The organizing committee will select a suitable working group for your presentation. Submit an abstract of max. 300 words.

Panel: You can propose a panel discussion to which you have invited the panelists. The topic can broadly situate within the themes of qualitative longitudinal research. The duration is 1.5 hours. Submit an abstract of max. 500 words.

Workshop: You can propose working group in which you have assembled the presenters in advance. The workshop will last 1.5 hours, and the recommended amount of the presentations is 3-4. The length of a workshop abstract is max. 500 words. In addition, please upload a file of the abstracts of the workshop participants' presentations to the submission form.
